= About us = == The PALM headquarters == The PALM model system has been developed and is maintained by the [https://www.muk.uni-hannover.de/243.html?&L=1 PALM group] at the [http://www.muk.uni-hannover.de?&L=1 Institute of Meteorology and Climatology] (IMUK) of Leibniz Universität Hannover, Germany. The research at IMUK focuses on studies of micro- and mesoscale turbulent atmospheric boundary layers using large-eddy simulations. The work also involves advancements of the PALM model system, particularly the development of highly scalable and parallelized methods for all parts of the simulation process chain (numerics, I/O, and visualization). == PALM and PALM-4U developers == * Finnish Meteorological Institute, Helsinki, Finland * Components: LES-LES nesting * Contact: Antti Hellsten * Developers: * Antti Hellsten * Universität Oldenburg, Institute of Physics, Energy Meteorology Unit, Oldenburg * Components: Wind turbine model * Contact: Detlef Heinemann * Developers: * Björn Witha * Gerald Steinfeld * Lukas Vollmer * Hauke Wurps * German Meteorological Service (DWD) * Components: Biometeorological analysis, COSMO coupling Z/ forcing * Contact: Andreas Matzarakis (Biometeorology), Kristina Trusilova (COSMO coupling) * Developers: * Eckhard Kadasch
